ERHEER…to glow like a diamond”

To wander through every adventure, to travel every road. To dance through every rainstorm, to stand under the sun - you need a comfortable pair of shoes. Every journey is unique so shouldn’t the shoes that take you through be unique as well?

Our Story

“ERHEER is the result of my life-long love affair with shoes.”

A decade in the corporate world is enough to burn anybody out. The zest for life that founder Divya once had, was slowly starting to fade.

On a weekly Sunday night stroll down Coogee beach, inspiration struck. Sitting on the stairs, glancing out to the ocean with barely another soul around, she blurted out, “I love shoes! I am that person who is known to her friends for her shoes.” Thus, the creation of Erheer was set into gear.

“I’ve always loved shoes! My earliest memory of buying my first pair of sandals was when I was 5 years old. I vividly remember walking through glass doors of a multi-storey shoe store in the heart of Sector 17 (shopper’s paradise) in Chandigarh (the store looked like an ice palace from the movie Frozen) and saw the blingiest and most striking pair of gold sandals and fell in love with them. Despite my mom trying to convince me otherwise, I walked out of that store with my brand-new pair of gilded sandals. And I've been big on shoes ever since then.”

— Divya, founder of Erheer.

With an origin story like that, there is no doubting the soul that lies behind each Erheer shoe design. Moving away from the trend of mass-produced shoes, Erheer boldly steps out into the world.

Our Footprint

“I knew if I was starting a business, it had to be a socially responsible and sustainable business that produces shoes that are unique and beautiful.”

When somebody pours their life into their creations, it is only natural that their values make up a core part of the business. At Erheer, the need to make our footprints as beautiful as possible goes beyond just the design of our shoes.

Our shoes are made by local artisans, which help keep the traditional artforms of the Jutti Making community alive. The materials they use are as sustainably sourced as possible, so the impact on the environment in our production methods are minimal. Once our shoes are made, when they are sent to you, all our packaging is either 100% recyclable or compostable. Finally, with every order placed, we donate a small percentage to local causes.

Our thought process is simple; we want to support local artisans, be socially responsible with our production methods and be as environmentally friendly in all aspects of our business as possible.
